Here's an 8x10 Craftsman
style wood picture frame with thicker top and bottom rails and thin sides (stiles) giving
this frame a strong appearance of the craftsmanship used in the early 1900s.
Each corner is fastened together using a through tenon joinery and then two
flush square pegs that go through the frame to secure them. This is
truly a frame that will last for many generations.
The frame pictured is constructed of
quarter sawn oak, finished in Mission Medium. The sides 1.25" thick, the
top and bottom rails are 2.5" thick.
This is the frame you'll actually receive.
Although this frame is primarily
designed to hang flat on the wall it can also be set on a mantle or dresser
if you so choose.
Frame includes glass and
backboard with four recessed turn buttons to hold in the frame contents.
Outside dimensions of this frame are approximately 10.5"x14.5".
