This is an 8x10 Craftsman
style frame with tapered sides. The bottom rail is thicker than the
top rail to enhance the tapered appearance. This frame is similar to
frame
#2025. Each corner is fastened
together using tenon joinery and then pillowed square oak pegs are used to go through the frame to secure them.
The frame pictured is constructed of
quarter sawn oak, finished in Mission Medium. The sides are tapered
from the bottom at 2" to 1.5" at the top. The bottom rail is 2"
wide and the top rail is 1.5" in width.
This is the frame you'll actually receive.
Although this frame is primarily
designed to hang flat on the wall it can also be set on a mantle or dresser
if you so choose.
Frame includes glass and
backboard with four recessed turn buttons to hold in the frame contents.
Outside dimensions of this frame are approximately 10.5"x14.5".
